XUP Paymentwas KeyBank’s solution to bring payment devices to small businesses—a one-shop set for getting one’s business up and running. I mentored and guided the UX/UI team in designing platforms to onboard new businesses. The in-branch product was a work-application for the Relationship Managers (bankers).
Business Goal: Empower the Relationship Manager to check out a merchant with financial products.
User Goal: Leverage pre-filled merchant information to apply to multiple financial applications (i.e. loans and business checking accounts).
Needed function:
Pre-filling forms
Automated risk checkpoints
Confirmation of all products being purchased
Problem
The challenge was backend configuration and real-time checkpoints. The application may take longer to connect to the backend and complicated circumstances create a lot of user scenarios.
Solution
Xup already was building a portal for merchants to manage payments. I design a new workflow within the portal.

2. I noted all the user scenes into their own lanes
